uses the machine of the lisp which generates the report

abcl works fine now with this

Some implementations (namely clisp, gcl and preasumbly cormanlisp)
doesn't support ~<..~:>. Be cleaver and put the comment in #| |#.

CLOS requires :depends-on (TODO)

SBCL doesn't like defconstant

First compile class definitions then the initialization
methods (some compilers eat these in chunks).

Using them caused some problems with abcl (potentially also with
others).
